Applications are open now to apply for ICRC Essay Competition 2019. The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Pakistan is now back with the 6th edition of annual Bilingual Essay writing competition. ICRC has started this competition and over the years they found that this competition has provided great learning opportunities to all the participants those who took part and also to ICRC.

ICRC is encouraging the people of Pakistan that they should take part in the problems and make some solution to those problems. According to ICRC last year they have received 1400 entries on the topic of “Social Inclusion of Person With Disabilities”. and they are hoping they will get more this time.

TOPIC:

The topic of Essay is “Trends Of Violence Against Health Care Workers And Facilities”.

The most interesting thing in this is that there is no age limit and no profession limit. whatever your age you can take part in this competition. whether you are a present government officer or retired you may apply.
Just you need to be a Citizen of Pakistan. They are going to select top quality three (3) essay which are well written and professionally written and after that those who are the winners will be awarded a cash prize.

You can write your Essay in the English Language as well as In the Urdu Language. It is now up to you in which language you feel comfortable to write but you can only send one essay whether in English or in Urdu.

If selected, the scholarship can be renewed each year providing the student submits a renewal application and meets the following mandatory criteria:

  1. Maintain a 3.0 GPA each and every semester
  2. On track to graduate in 4 years
  3. Complete FAFSA form annually
  4. Satisfactory participation in Rudd Scholar Program activities

The program staff will support and assist scholars each step of the way to help them maintain these academic standards and remain in good standing. However the program is not just looking for good students, but a real commitment to achieving something larger. Participants don’t just receive a scholarship to pay the cost of attendance, but a lifetime education to achieve their potential. This program seeks real “go-getters” who have the capacity to take advantage of this opportunity and rise to the next level.

The Indigenous BioCultural Exchange Program 2019:

The application for The Indigenous BioCultural Exchange Program 2019 is now up on the view. (IBEX) Indigenous Biocultural Exchange fund program aims to observe and resolve biocultural issues in the society by raising the voice of indigenous (native).

IBEX is an exchange fund program that encourages an individual to be a part of biocultural diversity at the global level by attending events and forums.

Benefits:

  • An amount of $5,000.00 USD would be awarded to Best performing applicant.
  • Awards would be malleable for the applicants relies on the budgets and funds.

  2. Turkish Exchange Program 2019 by Ministry of Youth and Sports

Eligibility Criteria for The Indigenous BioCultural Exchange Program:

  • Applicants must have a strong link with their territories.
  • He/She must be self-identified or a member of the local indigenous community.
  • self-hood with there community and with people at an individual level.
  • He/She should have variant languages, cultures, and beliefs.

Additional preferences:

  1. Women and youth (18-28).
  2. Mainly People from African Rift Valley, Central Asia & Turkey, Southwest U.S. & Northern Mexico, Northern Australia, and Melanesia.
  3. First-time travelers.

 How to Apply for Indigenous BioCultural Exchange Program:

  • Applicants applying for Spring 2019 section of competition are invited to apply from 1st March to April 16, 2019. All applications are due by 11:59 pm EDT.
  • Applicants applying for Fall 2019 section of competition are invited to apply from September 1- October 15. All applications are due by 11:59 pm EDT.
  • Applicants are invited to submit an online application with a  detailed budget outlining having-related expenses like international airfare, visa fees, incidentals, conference fees, local transportation, meals, and lodging.
