A Bridge into the Future is a youth exchange program conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) with the goal of improving students’ knowledge of Japan and its policies. Additionally, via intellectual and cultural exchange, the program seeks to foster mutual cooperation. The initiative seeks to foster intellectual and cultural interchange between Japan and the Western Balkans in order to foster mutual cooperation. Students will tour several institutions as part of the youth program to investigate methods and activities for promoting peace.
Participants in this fully supported program will form enduring relationships with other participants. They will be ready to encourage harmony within their neighborhoods. The host organizations will pay for travel, lodging, and food during the program; there is no participation charge. Additionally, admission costs for planned events in Japan will be reimbursed. - Candidates must reside in one of the Western Balkan societies, such as Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, or North Macedonia.
- Applicants must hold a passport from one of the WB6.
- Students who are citizens of Japan are not allowed to apply.
- Candidates should speak English fluently.
- Applicants must be inspired to use different communication platforms to spread the word about Japan’s attractions.
- Candidates should not have taken part in exchange programs or any other comparable initiatives provided by the Japanese government.
- Applicants couldn’t have resided in Japan.
