Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the NENU Silk Road Scholarship 2025 in China (CSC Type-B Program) for international students, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens of BRI participating nations who are not Chinese.
- Have an outstanding academic record and be in good physical and mental health.
- Not concurrently receiving any other scholarships from the Chinese government.
- Requirements for age and education:
- Master’s: Under 35 years old with a bachelor’s degree.
- PhD: Master’s degree for those under 40.
- Meet the language requirements:
- TOEFL score of at least 80 or
- An IELTS score of at least 6.0, or
- Be a native English speaker with a degree from an English-medium university.

How to Apply for NENU Silk Road Scholarship?
Step 1: Use the NENU International Student Service System to apply.
Visit the website to access the NENU International Student Service System, fill out the application, and submit it.
Step 2: Examine and conduct an online interview
When necessary, ISO and the appropriate departments will conduct online interviews after reviewing the applicant’s professional, academic, and linguistic credentials. Emails will be used for notifications.
Step 3: Preliminary Review and Candidate Selection
ISO will finish the preliminary evaluation by the end of May, verify the candidate list, and send out email pre-admission notices.
Step 4: Send in your application for the CSC Scholarship
The Chinese Government Scholarship Information System is the next step for nominated candidates to finish the application.
