Objectives:
- The Townhall is meant to be more than just a platform for networking and speeches. Participants will engage in conversations aimed at producing suggestions, collaborations, and doable steps about significant youth involvement. Roundtables, fireside talks, smaller talks, and interactions between young people and decision-makers are anticipated components of the program.
- The event is a component of the UN Youth Compass program, which aims to improve meaningful youth participation within the UN system rather than considering youth as symbolic participants.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The age range of applicants must be 18 to 35.
- Those with little to no prior UN involvement and grassroots candidates are given preference.
- Applicants having a strong track record of attending international conferences, which may not always offer you an advantage in this UN opportunity.
- This youth appeal does not offer sponsorship to applicants who are currently employed by the United Nations.
- Geographical representation, gender parity, and the inclusion of youth from marginalized and underrepresented groups will all be taken into account during the selection process.
