UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer School 2025 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer School 2025 in United Kingdom. All International students are eligible to apply for this fully funded summer school in the UK. Candidates who want to study in London on a fully funded scholarship are urged to apply for this scholarship. Undergraduate, graduate, master’s, and doctoral students are all welcome to attend the UCL Gatsby Summer School. The program will run from June 23 to August 8, 2025, and there is no application cost. International students and British citizens can attend the fully funded UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer School 2025 in London. The UCL Summer School lasts for seven weeks. Applications are encouraged from participants in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The goal of the UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer Program is to provide participants with a firm grasp of the fundamentals of mathematics. Participants in the program will actively participate in problem-solving sessions in probability, calculus, linear algebra, and ordinary differential equations in addition to attending lectures.
The Gatsby Bridging Program is a summer mathematics program for master’s and penultimate- or final-year undergraduate and graduate students (including recent graduates) who want to pursue a postgraduate research degree in machine learning and/or theoretical neuroscience but whose predoctoral degree or degrees do not heavily emphasize mathematics. You will acquire the mathematical skills and develop the mathematical intuitions required to work in these fields during the program. We particularly encourage applications from students in underrepresented groups in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), whose socioeconomic background and/or other circumstances may have made it more difficult for them to reach their full academic potential or to consider postgraduate study and research in STEM. Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer School 2025 in the UK, students must
- possess a strong interest in postgraduate studies in machine learning and/or theoretical neuroscience.
- own an undergraduate or graduate degree that does not provide the kind of mathematical instruction offered by our program, or have just finished one (see Program Syllabus). You must be in the penultimate or final year of your degree if you are an undergraduate.
- possess a background in a relevant discipline, such as computer science or biological sciences, namely neuroscience or cognitive psychology.
- possess an A-level in maths (or its equivalent; refer to the A-level subject content for mathematics).
- has both potential and shown academic success.
- Possess a strong knowledge of English.
- If you accept the offer, you agree to comply with its terms and conditions.
