The Foundation will grant up to five scholarships for 2026 entrance to outstanding applicants who exhibit financial need, leadership potential, and a strong dedication to making a lasting social impact within British Muslim communities. Students enrolled in specific master’s programs at the University of Sussex during the 2026–2027 academic year, the Aziz Foundation Scholarship, a partnership-funded postgraduate scholarship, offers full tuition cost waivers.

The Aziz Foundation Scholarship 2026 has been formally announced, providing the University of Sussex’s 2026–2027 academic year with a unique, fully financed master’s degree opportunity. This full tuition fellowship, which will be offered to qualified candidates until May 2026, is intended to assist postgraduate students who are socially conscious. Five outstanding British Muslims who lack the funds to pursue postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex will receive full tuition fee master’s scholarships from the Aziz Foundation for the 2026–2027 academic year. Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualify for “Home” fee status
• Be actively involved in the Muslim community and exhibit in-depth understanding of issues impacting Muslim communities in Britain. Apply for a master’s degree in media and journalism, sports, arts and culture, sustainability and environment, technology, policy, or law.
• Be eligible for zakat or in need of money
• Exhibit a thorough awareness of your chosen industry and how to advance within it, along with relevant prior experience and/or accomplishments in the field.
• Show that you are aware of how the course will help you make a social impact.
• Show a sustained dedication to the advancement of British communities and society.
• In one of the following categories pertaining to British Muslims, demonstrate how the training will improve your effectiveness.
• Effective Advocacy and Improving Public Perception: Encouraging Muslims to be better represented and contribute to civil society in order to fight Islamophobia and improve attitudes towards Muslims in Britain
• Raising standards and expectations in British Muslim communities through social development and community service.
• This scholarship is not available to you if you:
  • are enrolling in a master’s program at a different university than the University of Sussex.
  • are advancing to the last year of an integrated master’s program at Sussex
  • are enrolled in an online course.
  • are already recipients of another award from the University of Sussex, such as the Chancellor’s Masters Award.

How to Apply for Sussex Aziz Foundation Scholarship?

3. The scholarship will only pay for the University of Sussex’s tuition.
