International students worldwide can apply for a fully funded summer internship in Japan in 2025 through the Sumitomo Internship. This internship will be held in Osaka and Yokohama, Japan, and there is no application fee. The global internship program lasts between 10 and 12 weeks. On May 26, 2025, the 10-week internship will begin, and on May 12, 2025, the 12-week internship will begin. The program’s objective is to give participants hands-on job experience at Sumitomo Electric Industries’ corporate headquarters or research and development facilities.
