Sanger Prize Competition 2026 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the Sanger Prize Competition 2026 in United Kingdom. All International students can apply for the competition. Applicants from low- and middle-income nations are invited to participate in this international outreach competition. A three-month, fully funded internship at the Wellcome Sanger Institute in Cambridge, UK, will be given to the Sanger Prize Competition winner. Formal English language exam results are not needed, and there is no application fee. An essay competition will be used to choose the winner.
The Wellcome Sanger Institute is a nonprofit British genomics and genetics research organization that is mostly supported by the Wellcome Trust. Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be from or presently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a low- or middle-income nation (the list of qualifying nations is provided below).
- At the time of the initial application, applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree with a genomics component (e.g., biological sciences, bioinformatics, medicine, or veterinary science).
- Candidates who have finished their course but are still awaiting graduation are qualified.
- Language Proficiency: No formal certification is needed.
- Candidates must be older than eighteen while submitting an application.
