Internet Society Peering Fellowship 2025 for International Students:

Applications are invited to apply for the Internet Society Peering Fellowship 2025. International students can apply for this fully funded fellowship program in Nigeria, El Salvador, and the Philippines. The goal of this exciting six-month program is to give 15 professionals in peering and interconnection the skills, information, and resources they need to handle interconnection and peering issues while optimizing possibilities that expand the Internet and foster community at peering events. Fellowship will be held in Lagos, Nigeria; San Salvador, El Salvador; and Manila, Philippines. Attendance at the fellowship in one of these nations is mandatory for selected fellows. A fully financed international fellowship for young, driven individuals with the know-how to increase internet access, is currently accepting applications. To maximize opportunities that expand the internet and foster community development, this fellowship seeks to invite leaders with the expertise and abilities to improve internet access, make it more affordable and dependable, and improve local internet interconnection infrastructure at peering events. Selected fellows will travel to attend the Internet Society Peering Fellowship, which will run for six months.

Objectives:

• Coverage of virtual content: Take part in online forums and sessions.
• Participate in a peering event in person: Interact directly with the international peering community.
• Advocacy-based and technical training: Develop your knowledge of Internet policy, IXPs, and routing.
• Interaction with professionals in the field: Create relationships that increase your influence both locally and internationally.
• Create a local influence by completing projects that promote peering and connectivity developments in your nation or area.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Internet Society Peering Fellowship Program 2025 (Fully Funded), you must fulfill these eligibility criteria:

Applicants are encouraged to apply if they match the following requirements:

• Residing in or based in
  • Africa, Asia-Pacific (APAC), or
  • Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)
• Own a passport that is good until June 2026 to attend the events.
  • Africa, valid until February 2026;
  • Asia-Pacific, valid until June 2026;
  • Latin America, valid until April 2026
• Must be capable of traveling to one of these events and attending sessions:
  • AfPIF, August 19–21, 2025
  • LACNOG, October 6–10, 2025
  • Examining Asia, November 4-6, 2025
• Possess a minimum of three years of experience working in the Internet sector.
• The capacity to engage completely in the six-month adventure.
• Be accessible for online meetings from 11:00 to 15:00 UTC.
• Possess a dependable broadband Internet connection and the necessary gadgets.
• Possess a working level of written and spoken English proficiency. The delivery of this fellowship will be in English.
• Be able to devote roughly four hours every week to the six-month experience to fully participate.
