Global Study Week in Lebanon is a fully funded one-week program that focuses on knowledge sharing, activism, and regional unity. The Program’s goals are to address the challenges of sustainable human development, improve skills in global development concerns, and adapt to changes in the Global South. The 2025 Study Week will take place in Beirut, Lebanon, beginning November 10, 2025. It is coordinated by the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND), Third World Network, Social Watch, Global Policy Forum, and AUB’s Asfari Institute.

ANND is an independent, democratic, and civil network founded in 1997 with the goal of building and empowering civil society while also promoting the values of democracy, human rights, and sustainable development in Arab countries. All of this is consistent with the International Bill of Human Rights, human freedom and dignity, respect for pluralism, equitable income distribution, preservation of the region’s cultural legacy, and achievement of local community development aspirations. ANND is made up of nine national networks and 23 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in twelve Arab nations. Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Global South Fully Funded Study Week 2025 in Lebanon, you must:

• Be less than 40 years old.
• Be from one of the Global South countries.
• Obtain a university degree in
  • development,
  • economics,
  • political/social sciences,
  • international relations,
  • human rights.
• Be supported by a local, national, or regional non-governmental organization (NGO).
• Participate in advocacy or coordinating activities relating to:
  • development, multilateralism, and global governance.
  • Debt, trade, and investment; tax justice
  • Climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, and gender equality
