University graduates can obtain professional experience in a key European institution through paid traineeships offered by the European Parliament. Although a small number of traineeship opportunities may be open to non-EU nationals, candidates must normally be citizens of an EU member state. The European Parliament chooses about a thousand Schuman trainees annually. You can complete your Schuman traineeship at one of the three venues of the European Parliament: Strasbourg, Luxembourg, or Brussels.
Schuman Traineeships are professional training opportunities provided by the European Parliament that allow graduates to obtain practical experience and understand how a European Union institution operates. While working in a variety of Parliamentary departments and services, trainees gain expertise in European affairs, administration, communications, research, and public policy. These assignments offer the chance to work in a global setting, hone professional abilities, and gain knowledge of the duties and operations of the European Parliament.
