Eindhoven University of Technology Excellence Scholarship 2027 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the Eindhoven University of Technology Excellence Scholarship 2027 in Netherlands. International students who want to continue their master’s degree programs abroad are welcome to apply. For non-EEA students, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science will pay a portion of your TU/e Scholarship for Excellence (initial year of study only). The TU/e Scholarship for Excellence does not pretend differently; a master’s degree in Europe’s semiconductor and high-tech corridor can be costly. About 35 extremely competitive merit scholarships worth €7,500 per academic year are being offered by Eindhoven University of Technology to overseas master’s applicants in specific microchip-related subjects for the 2027–2028 intake. Although it is significant financing and a powerful CV signal, candidates still need to be able to pay for the remaining living expenses and tuition.
TU/e takes part in the national NL Scholarship program (previously the Holland Scholarship) for outstanding non-EEA students. In addition to the TU/e Scholarship for Excellence, the TSH Talent Foundation (The Social Hub) offers four Changemaker scholarships. These scholarships are designed for outstanding and motivated individuals who have shown a commitment to making a good difference in their community but may experience challenges to higher education. The scholarship program complements an academic scholarship by offering additional support, including housing for 10 months, mentoring, personal and professional development opportunities, and access to an international changemaker community. Financial benefits:
- Each academic year, the award pays €7,500 in monthly installments to a Dutch or SEPA bank account.
- Up to €15,000 can be awarded to a student who is still eligible in year two of the conventional two-year master’s program.
- Recipients must make a substantial contribution to living expenses and tuition, according to TU/e.
- In order to obtain a Dutch entry visa and a residence permit, non-EEA students must additionally individually demonstrate that they have enough money.

Eligibility Criteria:
You should apply only if you can satisfy both the scholarship conditions and the admission requirements of your selected master’s program. TU/e requires applicants to:
- Apply for an eligible full-time master’s program for the 2027–2028 academic year;
- Meet that program’s academic and language admission requirements;
- Hold, or be completing, a non-Dutch high school diploma, university bachelor’s degree, or both;
- Have the latest transcript showing a GPA of at least 7.5/10;
- Not have completed higher education in the Netherlands, although exchange-study experience is allowed;
- Meet the requirements for a Dutch entry visa and residence permit where applicable
- Do not apply for a joint master’s with Tilburg University (JADS) or a European double degree program.
- Not rely on an admission decision issued for an earlier intake.
- There is no stated age limit.
- The far more important competitive fact is academic strength: TU/e says only about 2% of applicants will receive the scholarship. Meeting the 7.5/10 threshold is therefore an entry condition, not a prediction of selection.

- Before the scholarship deadline, submit the entire application.
- The scholarship selection process cannot proceed with an incomplete application.
- You shouldn’t just say that you wish to study in Europe as your motivation. Make a credible future contribution in fields like semiconductors, embedded systems, artificial intelligence systems, sustainable energy, advanced physics, or engineering design by connecting your technological interests, academic background, and planned master’s program.
