CIC Part-time Internship Program 2019:

New York University’s Center on International Cooperation is pleased to offer the part-time interns program to attracted ideal candidates. The program is open to support a number of its programmatic areas during Spring and/or Summer 2019.

Interns will learn directly about CIC’s work in its key programmatic areas. The intern will gain practical experience of being part of a dynamic team, building skills in outreach, research, and writing.

Interns are encouraged to attend all of CIC’s public events and open meetings to foster their understanding of current trends in the field.

CIC Part-time Internship Program Eligibility:

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and research skills, as well as a proven interest (through coursework, etc.) in CIC’s programmatic areas.
  • The intern will ideally be a current graduate-level student.

CIC Part-time Internship Program Description:

In order to contribute to their professional development, interns will engage in key program activities, including research, seminars, and publications.

Tasks may include: Background research for programmatic work, Assistance with organizing workshops, conferences, and seminars, Reporting on conferences, lectures, and other events hosted (or co-hosted) by CIC, Drafting features and other texts for CIC’s website, and Reviewing and updating the program’s web pages.

CIC Part-time Internship Program Duration:

  • This is a part-time internship (between 10-20 hours per week) based in our New York City office.
  • Students should check with their academic institution to see if they are eligible to receive academic credit for this internship.

To apply, you need to send your resume and a cover letter describing what you hope to gain from an internship with CIC, your CV and include a short writing sample (no more than 10 pages).

  • Your cover letter should clearly indicate which program you would like to intern with, and your prior experience (e.g., coursework) relevant to that program.
  • All materials should be submitted
  • In the subject line, include the word “Intern” followed by the name of the program you are interested in (e.g., Intern—Congo Research Group).
