The CEPS Climate Leadership Program 2027 is an international leadership opportunity for youth enthusiastic about sustainability, environmental policy, and climate action. The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union and the Center collaborate to organize the European Policy Studies (CEPS) program. In addition to developing their leadership abilities and creating connections with researchers, policymakers, and climate experts, participants will acquire practical knowledge of European Union climate policymaking. Participants will also attend the CEPS Ideas Lab on March 4-5, 2027, as part of the Brussels program.
In order to assist young people who are already involved in climate policy, activism, or entrepreneurship in their respective contexts, CEPS and Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung collaborated to create the Climate Leadership Program. Participants will participate in online masterclasses and skills training covering EU climate governance, diplomacy, policy drafting, and communication from December 2026 to February 2027. Only those who successfully finish this phase—which requires attendance—will move on to the Brussels program.
Participants will spend a week in Brussels from February 28 to March 6, 2027, where they will participate in CEPS Ideas Lab, which brings together policymakers, researchers, business executives, and civil society to discuss the main issues and prospects facing Europe. Additionally, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung will host a supplementary side program in Brussels; specifics will be disclosed to chosen attendees.
