Aalto University Scholarships 2027 for International Students:

Applications are invited to apply for the Aalto University Scholarships 2027 in Finland. All International Students are eligible to apply. Aalto University scholarships can pay the entire cost of an English-taught bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finland. Applications for programs in science and engineering, business and economics, and art and design have been advertised but not yet launched. This means you still have plenty of time to compile your documentation for scholarship-based admissions at Aalto University. Also, apply for University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2027 in Brunei (Fully Funded).

With master’s tuition ranging from €15,000 to €20,000 per year, the Excellence Scholarship may save students between €30,000 and €40,000 on their two-year degree. But will that make your move more affordable? Living expenses persist, and Aalto’s relocation grants and tuition discounts offer varying levels of assistance.

Graduates from other colleges and recent school dropouts begin with excellence. For qualified Aalto students, the bachelor’s-to-master’s award is a later growth path. Applicants from Mexico and Colombia may also seek their nation-specific collaborations, taking into consideration the associated borrowing.

The funding arrangements for joint master’s programs, such as CoDaS, CYBERSURE, Re:Play, SELECT, EIT Urban Mobility, and Aalto’s EIT Digital choices, are different. Must check NASA Internship and Fellowship 2026 (Paid) | NASA Space opportunities

Benefits of Aalto University Scholarships:

  • The Excellence Scholarship is the primary full-tuition option for new students who are obliged to pay fees. Most applicants from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland pay tuition for English-taught degrees. Tuition exemption is already available to EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals; certain Finnish resident cards also grant it; however, a study-based permit does not qualify.
  • If you pay a price, the pathways listed below are determined by your program, country, and academic history.

While grants and reductions leave part or all tuition to be paid, an excellence waiver eliminates tuition. The cost of a bachelor’s degree is €15,000 for arts and architecture and €12,000 for business and technology. The cost of a master’s degree is €20,000 for arts and architecture, €15,000 for business, and €17,000 for technology and certain multidisciplinary programs.

Tuition is still due even if you are awarded the Pekka Mattila relocation grant. Instead, a new bachelor’s student without a waiver can take advantage of the 25% early-acceptance discount, which lowers first-year tuition to €9,000 or €11,250, depending on the field. Later years continue to be charged at the full applicable rate.

Aalto estimates living expenses to be €800–€1,300 per month or €9,600–€15,600 per year, on top of the remaining tuition. Set up extra money for travel, insurance, a down payment on a house, and relocation. If you are able to pay the remaining amount, the next step is to prove that your credentials meet the requirements of the award program.

Eligibility Criteria for Aalto University Scholarships:

Bachelor’s applicants

  • Your educational background must grant you admission to similar postsecondary institutions in the nation where it was awarded.
  • SAT or ACT scores are typically used by regular international high school candidates for business and technology.
  • A preliminary assignment is added by Technology, Business, and Design; assignments and interviews are used by Design and Media.
  • Prepare the supporting documentation for that path. While design and media require separate formal English proficiency verification, business and science/technology do not. The designated tests and assignments cannot be replaced by a broader portfolio.

Master’s applicants

  • In order to be admitted to a master’s program in the country where it is awarded, you typically need a recognized bachelor’s degree that is at least three years long or 180 ECTS.
  • Final-year students may apply conditionally under the completion schedule below; prior coursework must be appropriate for your program.
  • Use the requested papers to demonstrate that fit. Portfolios are necessary in the fields of art, design, and architecture.
  • GMAT or GRE scores are required for business applicants in admission group 2, which often includes degree holders from other countries. When asked, submit resumes, letters of motivation, references, or proof of employment.
  • Provide recognized English proof in addition to scholarly evidence.
  • A score of 6.5 overall and 6.0 in writing is required for IELTS Academic; TOEFL, PTE, and Cambridge substitutes are acceptable. Exemptions for English-medium degrees are contingent on Aalto’s nation, school, and study-location regulations. These prerequisites provide you with the checklist for your funding and admission application.

How to Apply for the Aalto University Scholarships?

  1. Adhere to Aalto’s bachelor’s or master’s guide. During an admissions round, you can rank up to two master’s or three bachelor’s possibilities; admittance to a higher preference eliminates lower choices.
  2. Compile academic records, identification, translations, program-specific materials, qualification documents, or proof of ongoing studies. Aalto’s English-evidence rules are used by master’s candidates for exam or exemption materials.
  3. Send in the form together with your scholarship application.
  4. When applications open, use the appropriate guide to access Studyinfo. In order to complete attachments, fee-paying applicants choose Excellence and keep the confirmation.
  5. Applicants in marketing and international management may ask for both Pekka Mattila and Excellence, but they cannot be granted both. Pekka Mattila is listed in the admission form on Aalto’s central scholarship page; nevertheless, program instructions still refer to a different form for a previous intake. Get clarification from [email protected] before considering any further 2027 submissions as finished.
  6. Generally, applicants from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland must pay €100; however, certain Finnish residency credentials may be exempt. When necessary, set up direct official test delivery, upload required evidence, and save modifications by the appropriate timeframes.
  7. Apply via COLFUTURO, FUNED, or the joint program as appropriate. Even if they have already enrolled in Fulbright, U.S. applicants still need to complete Aalto admission and ask for the tuition waiver.
