If you are curious about how communities coexist across cultural divides or about migration and displacement, these topics are combined with study in Norway and Germany in this two-year master’s program, which is followed by an individual academic and internship pathway. You begin your first year in Oldenburg, Germany, and then relocate to Stavanger, Norway. A focus module and a project-based internship via the partner network in Europe, Africa, or Asia are combined in the third semester. Benefits of Erasmus Mundus EMMIR Scholarship:
- A non-fee-paying institution offers no living stipend, but the full scholarship offers €1,400 a month for 24 months.
- There are no extra travel or installation costs; scholarship recipients use their monthly amount to pay for travel, visas, immunizations, and residency permits.

Eligibility Criteria for Erasmus Mundus EMMIR Scholarship:
- A completed first degree is required for scholarship applicants; a final grade of at least a C+ or its equivalent is required. Completion can be established by a transcript attesting to the completion of all necessary exams, including the final grade.
- Social sciences, history, cultural studies, education, law, economics, development studies, and journalism are all pertinent disciplines.
- Additionally, you must show that you understand empirical methodologies, multicultural relations, and migration.
- Those who have already received an EMJM scholarship are not eligible to earn another one.
- EMMIR provides waiver categories and allows documented English-medium study or professional English use as evidence. The program may still ask for additional evidence or confirm your abilities.
- IELTS 6.5 listed in the published test chart, and language certificates are valid for two years.
- Instead of just stating “fluent English” on your resume, provide employer evidence for professional experience.
- By the deadline, native English speakers must demonstrate a second language that is pertinent to migration studies.

How to Apply for Erasmus Mundus EMMIR Scholarship?
- Examine the requirements for EMMIR entrance. Make a clear connection between your academic preparation and a migration-related interest.
- Select “EMMIR APPLICATION edition 14 2027–2029” after opening the eMundus application portal.
- Observe the application’s guidelines. Upload PDF versions of your degree, transcript, passport, resume, two-page statement of purpose, language proof, and pertinent supporting documents. When necessary, include authoritative English translations.

- This deadline is shared by self-funded candidates who do not pay fees.

- Notifications for the primary selection round are anticipated early April 2027. If a spot is offered, send the necessary certified hardcopies and provide shipment tracking within the ten calendar days specified in the announcement. Verification is required for admission paperwork; reserve-list offers could be made in May or June.
