The APSIG 2026 Fellowship, an international opportunity for people interested in Internet Governance from the Asia-Pacific region, is currently accepting applications. To expand their networks, expertise, and knowledge in Internet governance, the Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) brings together professionals, academics, researchers, emerging leaders, and representatives from government and civil society.
The Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) is a regional capacity-building project that aims to increase engagement in Internet governance. It brings together individuals with a variety of academic and professional backgrounds to learn about Internet governance and actively engage in relevant policy processes and conversations. Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be at least eighteen years old to be eligible.
- Candidates must be from the Asia-Pacific area.
- Internet governance should be of great importance to applicants.
- Professionals, scholars, researchers, members of civil society, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations are all qualified.
- Since the sessions will be held in English, applicants must be sufficiently proficient in the language.
- Candidates should exhibit pertinent expertise, experience, or interest in Internet governance by attending meetings, webinars, seminars, or other relevant events.
- Alumni of APSIG are not qualified to apply.
- Candidates who frequently attend events but don’t make a significant contribution to the community could not be given preference.
- Applications from women, people with disabilities, and members of other marginalized groups are encouraged.
- Motivation and a post-school community participation strategy are quite desirable.
