Thirty higher education experts who are chosen to participate in the HEInnovate Train the Trainers Programme 2026—a European effort aimed at assisting universities in strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship, and institutional transformation—will receive full reimbursement for their travel, lodging, and participation expenses. Applications are now being accepted through the end of June for the program, which will conclude in a two-day global workshop in Budapest, Hungary, on October 8–9, 2026. This program provides university professionals with a unique opportunity to acquire practical expertise while establishing connections with peers working on similar institutional challenges across the continent, as higher education institutions throughout Europe are increasingly emphasizing innovation and entrepreneurial capacity.
HEInnovate has emerged as one of Europe’s most well-known tool for evaluating and enhancing institutional innovation capability, as academic institutions are under growing pressure to modernize teaching, research, entrepreneurship, and societal involvement. The goal of the Train the Trainers Program is to build a network of experts who can introduce and promote HEInnovate within their own organizations. The program focuses on staff personnel who may impact strategic planning, leadership development, entrepreneurship activities, and institutional transformation rather than individual academic achievement.
