Unleashing Human Rights Forum 2025 for International Students:

Applications are invited to apply for the Unleashing Human Rights Forum 2025 in Hungary. All International candidates are welcome to apply for the forum in Hungary. This forum will allow the community of human rights educators to gather, share, reflect, and nurture human rights education practice in the coming years, emphasizing cooperative dialogue among international, national, and local partners, whether professionals or volunteers from formal or non-formal education sectors, governmental institutions, or non-governmental organizations. The Council of Europe Youth Department and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, in collaboration with non-governmental partners such as the European Youth Forum and Amnesty International, are pleased to announce the co-organization of a forum to critically examine the status, achievements, and challenges of human rights education for, with, and by youth, as conceptualized and practiced by them and their partners.

Budapest, Hungary, will host the fully funded Human Rights Forum from December 9–11, 2025. The European Youth meeting, the Council of Europe, and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) are co-organizers of this three-day meeting. The European Youth Centre in Hungary will host the fully funded Forum. Approximately 250 people from all over the world will attend the Forum. Participants will get reimbursement for their airfare, lodging, and visa fees. Application fees are free. Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Unleashing Human Rights Forum 2025 in Hungary, candidates must be:

• Young leaders and activists who support education on human rights.
• Educators from informal learning initiatives as well as traditional educational institutions.
• Public servants and government representatives in charge of youth and education policies.
• Young people from civic society groups.
• Collaborators from important human rights education initiatives, such as those that create Compass and other training materials.
• Human rights representatives from national, regional, and international organizations.
