  • A scanned copy of the valid passport
  • MANGA Work Entries: These are necessary to enter the Japan International MANGA Award and demonstrate to the judges your creative abilities.
  • A medical fitness certificate

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Entries must be longer than sixteen pages.
  • It is possible to submit both published and unpublished artwork.
  • Submissions of already awarded work are not accepted.
  • The artwork needs to have been produced in the last three years.
  • We won’t accept entries made only with AI or comparable tools.
  • Indicate the degree of AI involvement if it is employed.
  • Submissions must be made in PDF or print format.
  • Only one entry may be submitted by each applicant.
  • Japanese nationals are not permitted to apply.
  • Submissions must honor other people’s intellectual property rights.
  • The applicant’s original artwork should be used.

How to Apply for 19th Japan International MANGA Award?
