Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be considered for the MIT Summer Research Program 2026 in the USA (Fully Funded), students must:

• Possess a major or overall GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
• Be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at a US university in the US or one of its territories (MIT excluded).
• Be a junior, a sophomore, or a senior who isn’t graduating.
• The graduation date cannot be before December 2026.
• Be interested in enrolling in one of MIT’s graduate programs (apart from Sloan professional programs like MBA, EMBA, LGO, etc.).
• You may be a citizen of the United States, a permanent resident, or a non-citizen with DACA.
• International students who are not citizens of the United States are eligible if they are enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at a U.S. institution situated within the United States or its territories.
• They are ineligible if they are exchange students or are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an institution outside of the United States.
